Meet the Pastor
Pastor Joshua Yount came to serve as the senior pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in late 2025. Before coming to Liberty Baptist, he served for fifteen years as the youth pastor of Northview Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. While there, he developed a love for history while teaching the history classes at Northview Baptist Academy.
As a teenager, Pastor Yount sensed the Lord’s call to ministry. He later graduated from West Coast Baptist College in Lancaster, CA. While there, he met his wife, Sarah. They were married in 2009 and are blessed with three children. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as camping and hiking with his wife and kids.
He is committed to the authority of Scripture and careful, contextual preaching. He regularly teaches verse-by-verse through books of the Bible while practically applying those passages.
He desires that Liberty Baptist Church would be a place where people come to know Christ, grow in His Word, and find their place in a faithful church family. He looks forward to meeting you.
