For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
God has given each believer unique gifts and abilities to add value to the local body of Christ and to impact their world. We believe spiritual health relies upon individuals using those gifts and abilities, and fulfilling his or her role within the church and beyond.

Serve in our church
Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.
In a household, everyone has chores. There are things that have to get done around the house for things to continue to operate smoothly. Liberty is no different, and we need you as a member of the family to jump in and serve with us so that other folks can hear the life-changing message of the gospel.
The goal of all of our service teams is simple: We want to remove barriers to people hearing about Jesus.
We organize our efforts through "Service Teams." Each of our teams is explained here.
Where would you like to serve?
LIBERTY KIDS (Patch Club, Jr. Church, Sunday School, Nursery, VBS)
Are you good with teaching kids? Or can you help keep kids from coloring on the walls? Liberty Kids is always in need of more teachers and bouncers. Liberty Kids workers’ biggest priority is pointing the kids to Jesus through lessons, through their interactions with them, and through prayer for them.
CLEANING CREW
It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s gotta do it! We all appreciate clean buildings, stocked amenities, and prepared facilities. A clean building demonstrates that we care and are ready for guests to arrive.
DECORATING TEAM
This team has the fun job of preparing for various events throughout the year. They work directly with the staff to obtain the vision and purpose of events to help with decorating, designing, and setting up the space. From baby showers to banquets, this team sets up the church for success!
FELLOWSHIP “PREP & LANDING” CREW
If there’s one thing we love to do, it’s fellowship! This crew helps prepare and clean up for our fellowships in the Buddy Building. Often preparation needs to be done ahead of time to set up tables, set out food, and arrange the space. Also, cleaning up after the fellowship is vital because chairs need to be rearranged, trash can emptied, floors swept, and other key tasks.
MUSIC TEAM (instrumentalists and vocalists)
The music team at Liberty is made up of several components that serve the congregation by leading them in music during corporate worship. We have a main piano, second piano/organ, a choir, and an orchestra.
AUDIO AND VISUAL TEAM (Audio setup, running sound, lights, and live-stream)
Are you more technically minded? Several people are behind the scenes at every service, adjusting the lighting, adjusting the sound, and operating the live-stream service. All of these are crucial roles that, if they are handled well, go almost completely unnoticed.
MEALS TEAM
The Meals Team provides a meal service train to deliver meals to new moms or members of the body who have recently experienced an emergency.
MISSIONS CONNECTION TEAM
Each week at our mid-week service, one of our members gives an update on a missionary based on their prayer letter. This gives us an opportunity to pray for specific needs of ministers around the world. As a volunteer, you can present the letter to the church and also reach out to encourage the missionary.
THE WRECKING CREW
The Wrecking Crew is a team of volunteers that work together to review, support, and advise regarding various projects to repair, improve, or upgrade the physical property of the church. If you are handy with tools or are available to do research, you can be helpful on this team.
PARKING TEAM
The very first faces that greet our new guests are those of our parking team volunteers. The parking team helps our new guests by placing signs, helping our visitors safely park and greeting them as they find their way to our worship gatherings.
GREETING TEAM
One of the ways we show love to people at Liberty is by greeting them at the door as they enter our services. Being able to smile, say hello, and shake someone’s hand qualifies you for serving on this team. Team members open doors, answer questions, and all-in-all help newcomers and old members feel at home.
SECURITY TEAM
We want to give everyone the peace of mind knowing that Liberty is a safe place for people. The Security Team ensures that the building is safe and secure before, during, and after our church services. They plan and prepare safety protocols to help us respond to various emergency situations. If you are handy with tools or are available to do research, you can be helpful on this team.
JOIN ANY TEAM’S SUB LIST
We know that there are many at Liberty who feel that they cannot be consistent enough to be on one of our service teams, but each team needs a list of people that could substitute in situations where there is a need. Joining our sub list does not mean that we expect you to serve every time there is a need. Rather, if you are free to lend a hand, we will welcome the help! If you would like to join a team’s sub list, email Lisa Martin at libertybaptisthollyridge@gmail.com
